As mind the gap returns from an extended summer break it seems like a lot has happened since we were last on the scene.

Lovebox was a massive success, sets from Skinny Macho, Wireless Sound and DJ Platinum all went down brilliantly despite the downpour we were experiencing at the time. If you weren’t there then no worries, it’s pretty likely there’ll be other chances to see these guys again soon so watch this space.

On a slightly less cool note, there was also the small tragedy of the riots. While it’s a good thing that some of the hysterical knee-jerk reaction to these happenings seems to have passed, we hope that a certain level of reaction will persist; the kind of reaction that tries to understand rather than blame.

Understanding is obviously a much harder game and we thought we might try to facilitate this by dedicating our next mind the gap to this end.

The idea is to give a voice to those young people who generally find it hard to get heard.
